Missions + Prayer School KC

This Fall, Luke18 will be partnering with MAPS Global to launch MAPS KC, a 10-month missions and prayer school with one semester of training in the context of night-and-day prayer in Kansas City and one semester abroad immersed in frontier missions in an unreached nation in the 10/40 window.

For the first semester of MAPS KC, students will be immersed into a community and culture of prayer. The prayer room will be central to the life of our students, and prayer central to our training. Students will be joining a “singing seminary” where they will pray and sing what they study. They will be in classes daily, as well as weekly ministry practicums. The core curriculum will encompass Christology, supernatural ministry, personal healing, theology of day and night prayer, new testament survey, history of missions, and intro to end-times studies.

The core of the second semester of MAPS KC will be a 90-day missions placement amongst an unreached people group. Before deployment, students will go thru cross-cultural and frontier missions training. Students will then be placed on teams that will be sent out together to serve day-and-night prayer and outreach in some of the hardest and darkest places on earth. Each team will pray through their assignment, raise funds together, cast vision together, and be sent out together. This placement is designed to strengthen and build missions bases in the 10/40 window as well as give our students a tremendously valuable experience in team leadership in a cross-cultural context.
